Methodology
Data is from the March 2022 FIS “The Global Payments Report.“ The Global Payments Report by Worldpay from FIS offers a snapshot of the payments landscape; worldwide, by region, and in 40 select countries. Data was compiled from a mixture of third-party vendors and public data sources. The data was analyzed using FIS’s proprietary data model and categorization scheme developed in cooperation with a leading management consultancy. Ecommerce market size and forecast data were sourced from GlobalData’s E-Commerce Analytics database based on data updated in Q3 2021. GlobalData collected this information using consumer surveys, B2B surveys, and desk research and have also developed a proprietary forecast model for ecommerce market size growth. Point-of-sale market size and forecast figures were calculated using McKinsey & Company macroeconomic data.Alert
