Methodology
Data is from a December 2021 Sensor Tower analysis as cited in company blog. Worldwide activity on the Apple App Store and Google Play was analyzed using Sensor Tower's Store Intelligence platform. Full-year data for the period of January 1-December 31, 2021 was projected based on year-to-date results. Third-party Android stores were excluded. Only 1 download per account is counted toward download totals. Downloads of the same app by the same user to multiple devices and reinstalls of the same app by the same user are excluded. Revenues exclude local taxes, in-app advertising, or in-app user spending on mcommerce (e.g., purchases via Amazon, rides via Lyft, or food deliveries via DoorDash). Refunds are not reflected in the data. Sensor Tower is a mobile app analytics platform.Alert
