Methodology
Data is from the November 2021 McKinsey & Company "COVID-19 Hospital Insights Survey." 100 US strategic and operational leaders from 100 large private-sector hospitals were surveyed during October 11-20, 2021. All of the respondents represented hospitals with more than 200 beds. These hospitals represented facilities from all regions of the US (northeast, midwest, south, and west), and collectively represented around 10% of all hospital beds in the country.
