Methodology

Data is from a September 2021 RedPoint report titled "Revisiting the Gaps in Customer Experience" conducted by The Harris Poll. 150 US marketers and 1,500 US adults ages 18+ were surveyed during July 7-26, 2021. For the marketer data, respondents had to be a full-time employee with a senior job title and be responsible for specific marketing functions in a company with annual revenues of at least $500 million that consider more than 50% of their business to sell their products directly to the end user. For consumer data, figures for age, gender, education, and region were weighted, where necessary, to bring them into line with their actual proportions in the population.
