Methodology
Insider Intelligence gathered data on the number of active co-brand cards issued by the top 12 US banks by assets based on publicly available information. We defined a co-brand program as a group of cards that share benefits, even between brands (e.g., Gap’s program issues Athleta, Banana Republic, Gap, and Old Navy cards with shared benefits structure). Cards closed to applications as of July 16, 2021 were excluded unless a known issuer change was in-process.Alert
