How Do US Adults Think the Government Should Change Its Regulation of Big Technology Companies? (% of respondents, Aug 2019 & Feb 2021)

Description

II branded

Note

Respondents were asked, "Do you think the government should increase, decrease, or not change its regulation of technology companies such as Amazon, Facebook, and Google?"

Methodology

Data is from a February 2021 Gallup survey as cited in company blog. 906 US adults ages 18+ were surveyed via telephone during January 21-February 2, 2021. The random sample included respondents living in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The national sample includes a minimum quota of 70% mobile phone respondents and 30% landline respondents, with additional minimum quotas by time zone within region. Landline and mobile phone numbers are selected using random digit dial methods. For results based on the total sample, the margin of sampling error is +/-4 percentage points at the 95% confidence level. All reported margins of sampling error include computed design effects for weighting.
