Methodology

Data is from the March 2020 Perkins Coie, XR Association, and Boost VC "2020 Augmented and Virtual Reality Survey Report." 191 AR/VR professionals were surveyed online during January-February 2020. 94% of respondents were US-based, while 6% identified their location as Canada, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa, or Latin America. Respondents identified their role/organization as established technology company (46%), startup (19%), outside consultant/advisor (16%), investor (12%), or policymaker/government (5%). Perkins Coie is an international law firm. The XR Association represents technology manufacturers in augmented & virtual reality. Boost VC is a venture capital firm that focuses on emerging technologies.
