Internet Users in Select Countries Who Are Concerned About Fake News on the Internet, Feb 2019 (% of respondents)

Methodology

Data is from the June 2020 Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford "Digital News Report 2019" conducted by YouGov. 80,000 internet users ages 18+ in 40 countries who had consumed news in the past month were surveyed online during January-February 2020. Roughly 2,000 respondents were surveyed in each country, with the exceptions of Australia (n=2,131), South Korea (n=2,304) and Taiwan (n=1,027). Samples were assembled using nationally representative quotas for age, gender, region, and education. The data was also weighted based on census/industry-accepted data.
