Methodology

Data is from an April 2020 Common Sense Media survey conducted by SurveyMonkey. 849 US teens ages 13-17 were surveyed online during March 24-April 1, 2020. Respondents were selected from the 2+ million people who take surveys on the SurveyMonkey platform daily. Data was weighted for age and sex using the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey to reflect the demographic composition of the US.
