Description

Internet users in the United States were asked how likely they would be to share their personal information with apps. Information included demographic data, email address, real-time location, face ID recognition and credit card information among others.

Read chart as "59% of respondents would be more inclined to share their location if the app has an established brand."

Methodology

Data is from the January 2020 Herow report titled "Mobile Location in the Age of Privacy." 1,357 US adults were surveyed online and via mobile device during November 2019. The sample is representative of the general US population in terms of gender, regions (Northeast, South, Midwest and West) and age proportions.
