This chart shows the ways US parents involve their children in purchase decisions. Data is from May 2019 and includes read/watch product reviews and look at products online, among others.

Methodology

Data is from the October 2019 National Retail Federation (NRF) report titled "Fall 2019 Consumer View: Keeping up with Gen Z" conducted by Toluna Analytics. 2,926 US internet users ages 18+, including 1,000+ parents with children under 18 were surveyed online during April 24-May 17 2019. Margin of error is +/-2 percentage points.
