Description

US internet users were asked which types of online ads they find annoying. Some of the ads they were asked about were search ads, video ads with and without sound and targeted banner ads.

Methodology

Data is from the July 2019 "eMarketer Consumer Attitudes on Marketing Flash Survey" conducted in July 2019 by Bizrate Insights. 1,352 US digital buyers were surveyed online during July 1-7, 2019. Respondents completed a survey from Bizrate Insights after completing an online purchase between July 1-7, 2019. Respondents identified as female (54.3%), male (39.9%) and 5.8% chose not to provide their gender. Respondents identified as 18-34 (17.8%), 35-54 (28.4%), 55-65+ (43%) and 10.9% of respondents chose not to provide their age. Respondents identified as white (60.3%), black (5.5%), Hispanic or Latino (6%) and other.
